Pill Heist at Drug Store

Three men are suspected of making off with thousands of dollars worth of pills from the Duane Reade at 4 Amsterdam Ave. and West 60th Street. Police said that at 9:30 a.m., Jan. 10, one man acted as lookout while two others put a large amount of medication in their jackets. When the store manager approached, one reportedly said, “Back away or I’m going to hurt you.” He put a hand in his pocket, possibly holding a gun, police said. The men fled in a green car and drove north on Amsterdam. They made off with 265 packs of Tylenol and Mucinex pills worth $2,481.
