Pieces of WTC Around the World

    As the 9/11 Anniversary approaches we have been noticing the frequency of news stories of World Trade Center artifacts making their way to towns and cities around the country (and the world). The Daily News recently reported that nearly 1,200 pieces of steel from the wreckage at Ground Zero are being used at various domestic and international memorial sites. Below is a small list of places that already have or will receive an artifact from 9/11. Please add a place you know is getting an artifact to the list: Buffalo State College, Buffalo, New York. (Damaged New York City Port Authority SUV) City Hall, Batavia, New York. (Unmarked Port authority police car) Arlington, Washington (State). (13-foot, 4,373-pound steel beam) Fairfield, Ohio. (1,600-pound beam) Calgary, Canada (15-foot, 3,000-pound steel) Franklin County, Pennslyvannia (3 steel pieces, collectively weighing one ton) St. Joseph, Missouri (one ton steel column) Tinton Falls, New Jersey (Two 15-foot high, 2,500-pound beams) Arnold, Missouri Levittown, Pennslyvannia (12-foot long, 3,105-pound beam)
