You Are right Jeanne There are many different approaches to pain. Chronic pain suffers are many. I had 2 yeras plus of alternate pain trets mennts before I went on the medicatiom. I get amazing relief with no side effects and am on Fentynal patches. I couldnt get out and do anything before the medication and now am very active and do a great deal. I actually have a quality of life I thought couldnt be achieved. I am doing well and do not have a feeling of unpleasantness. I am glad to hear you have had success with procedures.

I am A 54 year old female. I have had 6 Aterior Disc Fusions in my C-spine.I have Had a PLIF( with RayCages) I have had Discographys as well as the Spinal Stimulator.Then Two years of Epidural Injections and NerveBlocks, I have now got Spinal Stenosis and Degenerative Disc Disease. I also Have Crones Disease that has been out of controll for five years. I am on The Fentynal Patch and Oxycodone for the pain and it has worked for me successfully for years. I just foyund out that I havre to find a New Pain Doctor. I traveled from Richmond,VA. to Lynchburg, VA. for over 6 years and now my Crhonic Pain Doc is no longer doing the Medication Therapy. His specialty is and has always been Procedures which when I started seeing him were not a Treatment p;an that was fro me due to all the procedures That I had already had. I am hoping that I will be able to finsd a Cheronic Pain Doc that is in my Area ,but it looks really Megar at this point ,It will probably mean a long distance trip again. I just dont understand that if a paiteint is willing to stay with the contract and does all thy are supposed to do why so many Physicians run when it comes to Medication pain treatment . Not all paitients respond to procedures.

Suffering from physical pain resulting from a whole lot of internal and external factors is such an agonizing experience.
