Open Door Policy

cash was stolen from bourbon st., at 407 amsterdam ave. between west 79th and 80th streets, while the front door was left unlocked one morning. cops said that feb. 21 at 8:10 a.m., someone walked through the unsecured front door of the bar and into the office. that's where the intruder found an envelope containing $4,500 in cash. the thief grabbed the money and walked out. the bar was closed for cleaning at the time of the burglary, according to police.
