    TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FUNDRAISER Compiled by Megan Bungeroth and Josh Rogers The Settlement Housing Fund and Department of Housing, Preservation and Development Commissioner Mathew Wambua will mark the five-year anniversary of a semipermanent transitional housing building on the Upper West Side, with a tour and reception this Thursday, April 12. The residence, called Semiperm, houses formerly homeless single-parent families and offers programs that help transition them to permanent housing as well as job training and housing assistance. Tours of Semiperm, at 210 W. 102nd St., run from 5:30?6:45 p.m. and will be followed by a reading and reception with award-winning author Jonathan Franzen (The Corrections, Freedom) at the American Youth Hostel, 891 Amsterdam Ave., from 7?9 p.m. The event is free, but reservations are required and can be made at nycharities.org. Donations to the program are accepted online.
