No Suspect In Gruesome Bronx Murder

Just because statistics show crime in this City is declining doesn't mean there is no crime at all, and sometimes it takes a stark vision to remind New Yorkers of that.

Via David Greene, a top-notch freelance photographer and reporter, we have the above photo of a blood-soaked Bronx basement. He took it Saturday at the murder scene of David Fuentes, a 30 year-old public school maintenance worker who was murdered in the basement of a building adjacent to his own home in the borough's University Heights section. Fuentes was stabbed several times, and this grim scene is what police were met with upon their arrival.

Fuentes, who was planning to spend the evening with his six-year-old son, was found dead at the scene. Though one man was questioned and released the night of the murder, no suspect has been charged with the crime as of yet.
