Nightstand Theft?

An elderly woman's jewelry disappeared from her nightstand in her home on West End Avenue. The 76-year-old woman recalled placing items of jewelry on her nightstand at 4 PM on Thursday, May 30. Then on July 4, when she was going to wear the items, she noticed that they were missing. Various people had been working inside her home in the interim. Items stolen were a 4-karat emerald ring with diamonds and gold valued at $12,000, plus a 14-karat agate cube worth $300.
