Written by NYPress on . Posted in Crime Watch Our Town.

At 3:55 a.m. Friday, June 21, a 25-year-old man entered a convenience store on First Avenue, pulled a mask up over his nose, put his hand on his left hip, and said to the 59-year-old male store clerk, “Yo — give me the money!” The masked man then said to the clerk, “Give me two packs of Newports.” The robber next fled on foot northbound on First Avenue and then eastbound on East 65th Street. Police searched the area but could not find the mentholated marauder. Video is available of the theft. In all, the robber got away with $2,930. The store had previously been held up in March
