A Roundup of ways to reduce, reuse, recycle on this Earth Day

This is the weekend to go green with Earth Day fast approaching on Sunday, April 22. It’s never too early to teach children about the importance of recycling and how to best take care of the most important home of all: our planet. Here’s to finding an event that inspires!

Friday, April 20
Earth Day Workshop at the Jacadi Madison Avenue Boutique

Join the French Institute for their Earth Day workshop at the Jacadi Madison Avenue Boutique to learn all about recycling. Kiddos will be able to create a sculpture out of recycled items. For children ages 4-6.

The Dragon Child at The Skirball Center for the Performing Arts
566 LaGuardia Place
Times Vary, Friday-Sunday

This environmental production shows us what happens when a once-beautiful and colorful world becomes destroyed by pollution and the disappearance of natural resources. The Dragon Child spotlights art, music, animation and puppetry, and is recommended for children ages six and up.

A modern day prince must make the biggest decision of his life—save the Earth or complete his birthday quest. What will he choose? This hilarious musical is recommended for children ages four and up.
