New Polls, No Changes

The horse race for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination is becoming unbearably dull.

Today we have two new polls of Republican primary voters, and both say the same thing we've been hearing for months: if the nomination were decided today, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani would take it hands down.

The first [Harris Poll] gives Giuliani the edge over Senator John McCain 39-18, and another [Gallup Poll](http://www.galluppoll.com/content/?ci=27271) gives Rudy the 35-22 edge over McCain. I usually run a picture of the leader in the poll, but I've run so many Giuliani photos that I decided to mix it up today.

The Gallup Poll makes a specific note that Giuliani has led in every poll they've taken so far this cycle. It also finds former Governor George Pataki, who is probably not running for president, with a lead over at least seven other potential Republican candidates, though the numbers are particularly small and insignificant.
