New Poll: NYC Loves A Mayor/Entreprenuer

    Good news for Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons: a new poll finds that the City is ready for you.

    Well, not you exactly. But someone like you. A Quinnipiac Poll released today finds that City voters think a businessman should be the next mayor over a career politician by a margin of 42-35.

    "Nobody has focused much on who they'd like the next mayor to be, but a plurality know where they'd like him (or her) to come from - the business world, like [Mike] Bloomberg, instead of the political world, like every other mayor the city has had," said Quinnipiac Polling Institute Director Mickey Carroll said.

    The entire poll, which also finds that voters would like to elect Bloomberg again in 2009 and think that he is better presidential timber than his predecessor Rudy Giuliani, is [here].
