NEW CRASH BARRIER

The Department of Transportation installed a permanent crash barrier on the Broadway Mall at the north side of West 86th Street after numerous complaints and letters by elected officials.
The 16-foot long and two-foot high concrete divider on the north side of the intersection is designed to protect pedestrians who stop at the mall when crossing the wide street.
