A man called his neighbor on June 24 to let her know that her home had been burglarized. Police said that the 41-year-old woman left her apartment building, on West 76th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, at 3:30 p.m. that day. Around that time, the neighbor noticed that her door was open. At 9 p.m., the neighbor saw that the door was still open. He looked in to see a lamp knocked down and signs of forcible entry. When the woman returned, she noticed that two laptops, $5,000 worth of jewelry and $1,500 in cash were stolen, according to cops.
