Neighbor Calls in Burglary

a man called his neighbor on june 24 to let her know that her home had been burglarized. police said that the 41-year-old woman left her apartment building, on west 76th street between central park west and columbus avenue, at 3:30 p.m. that day. around that time, the neighbor noticed that her door was open. at 9 p.m., the neighbor saw that the door was still open. he looked in to see a lamp knocked down and signs of forcible entry. when the woman returned, she noticed that two laptops, $5,000 worth of jewelry and $1,500 in cash were stolen, according to cops.
