More 9/11 Emergency Calls Released

In response to [a lawsuit filed by The New York Times] and the family of 9/11 victims, [the tapes of 19 emergency calls ](http://www.kfmb.com/stories/story.78459.html)[placed that day were released on Friday](http://www.kfmb.com/stories/story.78459.html). This latest batch of calls were all made to police operators, some were then transferred to the Fire Department. According to police officials, eight World Trade Center victims made 11 of the 19 calls. The lawsuit was filed to gain access to the calls as well as firefighters oral histories in order to get firsthand information regarding what happened in the towers after they were hit by the first and then second hijacked plane.
