MAN MURDERED ON WEST SIDE

A 70-year-old man was found dead with a stab wound to his neck July 19.

Police responded to a call at 7:16 p.m. about a man stabbed in his 175 W. 82nd St. and Amsterdam Avenue apartment. EMT
pronounced him DOA. Police have not released his name, waiting to notify the family.

The man’s 33-year-old son was apprehended at the scene with a self-inflicted stab wound to his wrist. He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
