Man Killed By Bus

An 80-year-old man is dead after he was hit by a bus while trying to cross a downtown street. Police say Boris Kidreman was attempting to cross Third Avenue at East 20th Street at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when he was hit by an MTA bus. He was taken to Beth Israel Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police say the bus had the green light and Kidreman was trying to cross against the signal. The bus driver remained at the scene of the accident and has not been charged.
