MAN CHARGED WITH MURDERING FATHER

a 33-year-old upper west side man was charged with murdering his father, police said.

julian kurita called 911 and told the operator he slit his own wrists after he stabbed his father in the throat. the body of his father, 70-year-old fumitaka kurita, was laying face-up on the floor with a bleeding laceration to his throat when police arrived at the 175 w. 87th st. apartment.

meanwhile, julian kurita was sitting on a chair while holding his arm, saying that he was bleeding. he was taken to st. luke's hospital in stable condition. julian kurita was later transferred to bellevue hospital.

he faces charges of murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon.
