    Yesterday as weary workers were preparing for their evening commute, a [man jumped in front of an oncoming subway] train at the crowded Rockefeller Center station. It seems the unidentified 38-year-old man was standing on the subway platform when out of the blue he said “bye” to the woman standing next to him and leapt onto the tracks. Shockingly, the man, who police say is homeless, landed in the trough between the tracks and emerged virtually unhurt. Perhaps he was [hoping to get a brand new Jeep](http://nypress.com/blogx/display_blog.cfm?bid=22410497), but forgot it only works like that if you’re protecting somebody else, not endangering yourself.
