License to Steal

On May 15, a 46-year-old man living on Park Avenue reported to police that on Friday, May 3, an unknown man withdrew $5,600 from his money market account. The victim stated that the perpetrator had used a copy of the victim's New York State driver's license with the thief's photo substituted for his own ID photo to withdraw the money. The victim is in possession of his real drivers license. The money was withdrawn in New Jersey.
