This is a terribly written piece! The “website” referred to must be the co-op’s site and not a site of this NYCHA building. This occurred in a NYCHA housing complex (the Seward Park “Extension”) and not in the privately owned market rate co-op which is located across the street and along Grand St with about 9 acres of property. The building where the police officer was shot is part of Seward Park Extension, a low income public housing project run by the New York City Housing Authority.

The Seward Park Cooperative (formerly known as the Seward Park Housing Corporation), whose website the reporter apparently visited, is located nearby but is a private, market rate co-op and is unrelated.
