Labor Day Weekend Burglary

a 62-year-old woman reported to police sept. 7 that her apartment was burglarized while she was gone for the labor day weekend. the west 60th street and columbus avenue resident came home to find jewelry kept in a box in the hall closet missing. there was no damage to the door. the burglar stole a $700 cartier watch, $1,000 pearl necklace and $100 gold bracelet.
