Keeping Cool At McCarren Park Pool

| 11 Nov 2014 | 01:40

Brooklyn’s hipsters and indie music fans were given another beautiful day for another JellyNYC Pool Party, on Sunday. McCarren Park Pool once again filled up with people wanting to catch some live music and soak up the sun. Another solid line up of bands rocked the place, with excellent sets by Oxford Collapse, Annuals, and Band of Horses. Suprisingly, Band of Horses lead singer Ben Bridwell kept his cool, despite the huge number of photographers in his face snapping pictures. [His antics at a San Diego concert] earlier this month left a lot of people wondering if he could handle the camera crazy Brooklynites. While the bands brought the noise, fans again participated in the popular dodgeball games, and kept cool on the slip n’ slide and the special very wet volleyball court. These ever so popular pool parties are becoming synonymous with summer in Brooklyn, and next week will be the biggest one yet, with Brooklyn’s own TV on the Radio expected to attract masses of fans to the summer hot spot.
