Jewelry Missing

a 79-year-old woman reported to police oct. 16 that eight pieces of jewelry went missing from her west 86th street and amsterdam avenue apartment. she told police she had not seen the eight expensive pieces of jewelry in a year. she realized they were missing when she went to retrieve them earlier in october. the items include diamond engagement rings, platinum wedding bands, a diamond watch, platinum cuff links and a gold bracelet. there has never been a forced entry, but she told police her apartment was professionally cleaned after a february funeral.
