Jewelry was taken from the apartment of a woman living on West 66th Street. A 60-year-old woman reported that sometime between Thursday, August 22, at 1 PM and Saturday, August 24, at 1 AM, someone removed items from her apartment without permission or authority. She told police that an unknown female home aide and a caseworker of her acquaintance both had access to her apartment during that period. Items stolen included a three -sapphires -and -diamond -accent white gold ring valued at $3,000, a white gold small diamond ring worth $2,300, a yellow gold 1 carat morganite ring valued at $500, a Logan gold-sterling-and-rose-gold vine ring priced at $300, a sterling-and-cubic-zirconia woven ring worth $200, and a Judith Ripka sterling-and-yellow-gold crossover band ring valued at $150. The total stolen amounted to $6,450.
