Inevitable Polar Bear Club Injury

The annual polar bear swim at Coney Island (you already missed it, so relax you shrinkage-lovin’ weirdo) wasn’t all brrrrs and ay ya yas yesterday when [a 32-year-old man had to be rescued] from the cold as &*!@ waters. Mohan Seneviruten of Manhattan was pulled out of the ocean by three friends after diving into shallow waters. He was conscious but couldn’t move, having suffered head injuries. Luckily, the scare didn’t affect the Coney Island Polar Bear Club’s fundraising; $25,000 was contributed to Camp Sunshine, a year-round retreat for terminally ill children and their families. Up to 340 people took a dip in the frigid waters—as far as we know, Seneviruten was the only one who suffered any injuries.
