A 32-year-old West End Avenue man alerted police on Aug. 28 that his identity had been stolen. Police said the victim received two pieces of mail detailing credit card accounts that had been opened in his name. One account, opened at a Macy’s in Yonkers, had $2,100 worth of charges. Police said there was another attempt to open a Sears department store account, but it was denied. No arrest was made.
