Hydrant Heist

At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, a 49-year-old woman placed her wallet on top of a fire hydrant on Broadway, while she was putting some items in her bag. When she turned back to retrieve her wallet, she discovered that it was gone. She deactivated the stolen credit cards before any charges were made. Items in the stolen wallet included two money orders valued at $351, her New York State driver's license, her healthcare card, and two credit cards. Think she discovered the meaning of "faster than a New York minute?"
