Though some in this city have [moved to simply outlaw fast food] as a way to keep people healthy, there might be alternatives to such plans that don't involve what amounts to anti-capitalist social engineering.

On Saturday morning advocacy group Citizens for NYC will host a forum in the South Bronx to discuss "food justice" in poorer neighborhoods. Though it might sound radical, the event seeks ways to bring healthier, fresher food into poorer neighborhoods that might not have as many supermarket options, though are cluttered with fast food joints.

The event will be held at Lincoln Hospital at 10:30 AM. Check [here] for more information.
