Hillary Swings Past Rudy

A new Quinnipiac poll analyzing a smattering of presidential swing states finds Hillary Clinton moving ahead of Rudy Giuliani in Florida and Pennsylvania and tied with the former mayor in Ohio. The numbers are a contrast to national polls, which typically show Giuliani with a small lead over New York's junior senator.

"Sen. Clinton is inching ahead. Not only does she lead by a nose in two of the most important swing states in the Electoral College, but she is turning around independent and Republican voters who previously viewed her negatively," said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, who also notes that Clinton's favorability rating has crept up to 50%.

As can be expected, the poll finds that Clinton and Giuliani maintain their respective leads among opponents in their own parties. More [here].
