At 11 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, a 24-year-old man was walking at the intersection of Mercer and Canal Streets when an unknown man ran up from behind and snatched the victim's bag from his left arm. The perpetrator ran off to an unknown location. Property stolen included an orange iPhone valued at $399 plus $400 in cash.
