A 32-year-old man was assaulted and mugged on West 82nd Street. He was walking from Riverside Drive to West End Avenue on Monday, July 1, at 8:06 PM, when an unknown man with a hat covering his face grabbed the victim's iPad from his hands. The victim struggled with the thief when an unknown second mugger joined in the assault and took the victim's property. The victim was struck about the face but refused medical attention. A witness observed the thugs fleeing the scene in a vehicle. There was no Find My iPhone or tracking on the iPad. The items stolen included an HTC Android phone valued at $300 and an iPad worth $500.
