    At 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, a 35-year-old woman, - the owner of a local jewelry boutique on Reade Street - stated that a suspect impersonating a customer buying jewelry had opened a glass showcase, grabbed an emerald ring valued at $38,900, and placed it in his left back pocket. Video surveillance footage is available and shows the crime. No prints were lifted. No arrests have been made.
