Giant Bird of Prey Spotted at Park & E. 29th (and Spitzer & Prostitutes)

| 11 Nov 2014 | 01:56

We're not aviary specialists, but there was certainly a large bird of prey spotted at the northeast corner of Park and E. 29th just now. It was pretty disheveled, was that from the hordes of camera phones snapping the eagle/hawk's pic or because it "fell off the roof" as one bystander claimed. Is this a sign of doom or just a random wildlife sighting of an escaped bird? Unfortunately our own attempt at shooting the poor thing (with a camera!) was unsuccessful. Anyone out there get the bird's pic? If so, send our way at blog@nypress.com and we'll post it. Not every day you get a glimpse of a great-winged one on the concrete streets. Reminds us of all those [domesticated animal sightings last year...]

Oh, and if you haven't seen it yet, according to the [NYTimes], Gov. Spitzer is linked to a prostitution ring.
