Gather Together In Hillary's Name

Dr. Maya Angelou, author and activist, has announced her endorsement of Hillary Clinton for president.

“I would encourage her to be a long-distance runner.  Be in this thing to win,” said Dr. Angelou.  “You’ve got a lot of help and a lot of people care for you – not just admire you, but really have profound affection for you.”

The announcement was made during a Tuesday fundraiser for women of color via prerecorded video. As for past Angelou endorsements, here is one of my favorite Saturday Night Live skits ever. David Alan Grier, as Dr. Angelou, cuts commercials for Butterfinger, Froot Loops and Pennzoil.
