Free Wi-Fi, Thanks To Lincoln Center

If you're heading to Lincoln Center tomorrow night, don't forget your laptop.

Tomorrow's opening of the dance show "Midsummer Night Swing" on Lincoln Center's Josie Robertson Plaza will mark the launch of free wireless internet access across 6.3 acres of Lincoln Center’s outdoor public space. The deal was made through an agreement with Nokia in cooperation with Nokia Siemens Networks.

The wi-fi is part of Lincoln Center's plan to make the area a more welcoming destination. Like the dancing? Why not stick around and blog about it!

“One of the goals of Lincoln Center’s transformation projects is to encourage visitors to our campus to come earlier and linger longer, both before and after performances,” said Lincoln Center President Reynold Levy. “We’re extremely grateful to Nokia for providing this 21st century communications technology to all who use the Internet as an integral part of their lives while enjoying the facilities at Lincoln Center.”

There's also a contest associated with the wi-fi launch. More info on that is [here].
