Tonight at 6:30 p.m., in Union Square, there’ll be a First Amendment Rally dealing with, among other things, the recently proposed regulations that would require groups to obtain a [permit and take out insurance] in order to film or shoot still photos on city property—even sidewalks—as early as next month. All the usual protesting suspects will be there, including [Reverend Billy](http://www.revbilly.com/), freshly [sprung from the slammer](http://www.nypress.com/blogx/display_blog.cfm?bid=25147961&day=2&startmonth=7&startyear=2007), and [Critical Mass](http://times-up.org/index.php?page=critical-mass), leaving Union Square at 7 p.m. for its monthly ride into the sunset. A relative newcomer will also make an appearance: [Picture New York](http://www.pictureny.org/), a coalition of concerned filmmakers and photographers. In the meantime, watch Queen Juliana's video on the subject; it's nothing fancy, but it gets the point across.
