Ferry Accident, Alcohol Not Involved
| 11 Nov 2014 | 01:29
This afternoon, the Staten Island Ferry was involved in a [minor collision at the St. George Ferry Terminal], which the US Coast Guard says was caused by strong ebb tide and light winds. But if you ask the Department of Transportation, theyd call it a "hard landing." I cannot wait to use that one the next time a cop asks me to explain my way out of a car accident! Apparently, investigators tested all ferry employees for drugs and alcohol but found nothing noteworthy. Unfortunately, five passengers suffered minor injuries, but, luckily, there was no damage to the boat.
