FAMILY-FRIENDLY PARADE

The Riverside Park Fund invites families in need of a PG-alternative to the Village’s Halloween Parade to its annual Oct. 31 gathering. Lions, tigers, pirates and ghosts will follow a group of bagpipers from the Soldiers and Sailors Monument at West 89th Street to the Hippo Playground at West 91st Street. At the end of the parade, costumed parents and children will be treated to warm cider and snacks. The parade starts at 3:45 p.m. on Oct. 31.
