Falling Angel

Yesterday, [we told you] about illusionist [Criss Angel](http://www.myspace.com/crissangel)’s most recent publicity stunt, in which the David Blaine-wannabe had 24 hours to escape from a four-foot by four-foot concrete-encased glass cube suspended 40 feet above Times Square before it came crashing to the ground. Well, surprise! It seems the Houdini-ite has miraculously succeeded. Reuters is now reporting that Angel [appeared to have escaped](http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idUSN0447132120070605) unharmed, emerging atop nearby scaffolding and waving to a cheering crowd just moments after the box plummeted to the concrete early this morning.

But was Angel even in the box to begin with? “Well, I was in it when I fell—that's the truth,” the stuntsman assured Reuters. Sounds a little suspect to us… If you’re dying to know exactly how he pulled it off, all will be revealed tonight on the season premiere of Angel’s show, "[MindFreak]", which airs on cable’s A&E station at 10 p.m.
