Expensive Watch Thief

There wasn't much drama to this expensive watch heist which took place on March 12, inside a ritzy jewelry store on Madison Avenue. According to police, the perp walked into the store and asked a 35-year-old female employee, "Can I see that?" referring to a watch that was in a case and behind glass. The employee said the man then put the watch on his wrist and just calmly walked out the front door. The watch, a Cartier, was valued at $60,000. Even police were surprised by the brazenness of the theft, since the store was equipped with extensive camera and video surveillance systems. Police are looking for a black man in his 30s, wearing blue jeans and black sneakers.
