Exit the Burglar

A man encountered a burglar exiting his apartment. At 8:40 AM on Friday, August 30, a 26-year-old man entered his apartment on West 81st Street. He was looking for his roommate, when he found an unknown perpetrator fleeing towards the back of the apartment and exiting through a window onto the fire escape. The victim later told police that the robber must have entered the apartment through the fire escape as well. Items stolen included two MacBook Pros valued at $1,200 and $1,000 respectively, a Canon Rebel TI priced at $700, an iPad worth $500, an iPad 2 valued at $400, an iPod

costing $300, and a Michael Kors watch priced at $300. The total haul amounted to $4,400.
