A 68-year-old woman was printing photos at a photo/copy store on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4. She had placed her purse on the floor in front of her, when a man pretending to be an employee of the establishment began to help her with the computer. When the woman went to retrieve her purse, she discovered it was missing. She immediately called her financial institutions to cancel the cards in the purse and was told that a charge to her debit card had already been made with an intercity bus line. The store manager said that video is available, so police hope to make an arrest soon. Items in the stolen purse included the debit and credit cards, plus an iPod Touch, a Kindle, and a U.S. passport.
