State Sen. Tom Duane will hold a town hall meeting on Sept. 1. West Siders will be able to ask questions, express concerns about district-related matters and seek help from Duane’s office.
Probable hot topics include the state of the post-coup, post-stalemate Senate, which will likely be in session this September, and legislative priorities in Albany. These are sure to be thorny issues, as a recent Quinnipiac poll shows that 72 percent of New Yorkers disapprove of the State Legislature’s job performance. Even worse, almost half of New Yorkers say that their own state senator should be thrown out.
Duane’s town hall meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m., is being held at the Duke at 229 W. 42nd St. between Seventh and Eighth avenues, second floor.
