Down for the Accounts

A 42-year-old woman living on Third Avenue checked her credit report and discovered that multiple fraudulent accounts had been opened in her name. She made the discovery the evening of June 27, called the stores, and found that the accounts had been opened using her name and Social Security number at New York City stores, and used at the time of account activation. The woman had not received any credit cards in the mail at the time of her police report.
