In the afternoon of Tuesday, April 9, a 28-year-old man working at a department store on Spring Street noticed that two of the store's bags were missing from a display. He checked the store's video surveillance footage, which revealed that an unknown 25-year-old man had taken the two bags without paying for them before he fled in an unknown direction. Police conducted a canvass of the area but were unable to locate the thief, who was wearing blue jeans, a baby blue baseball hat, and a denim jacket splattered with paint. The total value of the two bags stolen, a satchel and a purse, was $2,350.
