The lack of DOE transparency is extremely frustrating. Every decision they make tis way causes suspicion and bad feelings. They HAD to know this school would be closing when they made their rezoning and school move decisions (if they didn't, or only some there did, they are even bigger boobs than I thought). I supported the move of Anderson into the Computer School building, but would have been more cautious if I had known that that 44 was to close. Someone could have had a much more comprehensive plan for the use of that building than to fill it up piecemeal. I certainly hope the DOE gives parents a say (and not just for show) about what replaces 44.
