NYPD Announces Columbus Avenue Double-Parking Initiative
Because of obstruction to traffic caused by double parking on Columbus Avenue, the NYPD has announced that traffic agents will be increasing efforts to ticket motorists double parking on that thoroughfare. The fine for double parking is $115.
When you double park:
• You obstruct the view of other drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
• You impede traffic flow.
• You increase the chance of a collision.
Don’t be the cause of a collision or injury or death to somebody’s loved one – please be considerate and don’t double park.
