Clinton Over Giuliani, 46-43

| 11 Nov 2014 | 01:42

For the first time in a Quinnipiac Poll Hillary Clinton has edged out Rudy Giuliani on a national scale, now holding a slim 46-43 lead over the former mayor.

Giuliani remains in a virtual tie with Barack Obama and John Edwards, the only Republican in such a good position when polled against potential Democratic opponents. The poll also finds Clinton with a 48-43 favorable/unfavorable rating, her best such rating yet.

"The movement is glacial, but for Sen. Hillary Clinton it's in the right direction. She holds her double-digit lead among Democrats and edges up a smidgen against Mayor Rudolph Giuliani," said Maurice Carroll, Director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
