Clinton Juggernaut Rolls On

The further we get in this campaign season the more it looks like it will take a huge unforced error on the part of Hillary Clinton to prevent her from winning the Democratic presidential nomination.

A new Gallup Poll today shows New York's junior senator with a 21-point lead nationally over her closest opponent, Barack Obama, 47-26. Clinton has held at least a 20-point lead in every similar Gallup Poll since August. John Edwards continues to pull up third place, this time with 11% of the vote.

The poll also finds that Clinton's numbers have, for the most part, been steadily rising since June. That increase does not come out of the pocket of any particular opponent, but is drawn equally from the entire Democratic field.
