You seem like the type of person who goes to a bowling alley and complains about the lighting. Judge the movie on its own merits and it stands as a mediocre to average buddy flick. You're criticizing it for not being more. It seems like you're more upset about what this movie represents, which isn't exactly fair to the picture itself. If you don't like "trash" or "smuttiness" why would you bother reviewing any movie that Jonah Hill is in, this is his type-cast role. If you're looking for serious drama or social satire... why even pick this up?
Your review is as unfairly biased as it is pretentiously worded. This is an alright movie, funny at times, kind of mediocre at others, and completely unrealistic althroughout. And I can tell it was going to be that the moment I saw the trailer. Were you expecting Training Day?
